Colerain Township, Ohio is situated in Hamilton County. The township is home to 58,000 residents according to the Census Bureau and is the 2nd largest township in Ohio. It is also the 2nd largest township in Hamilton County.

John Dunlap settled what would become the Colerain Township in the spring of 1790. Dunlap named the settlement in honor of his birthplace Coleraine, Ireland. Shortly after Dunlap founded the community, it was abandoned due to a brutal attack by Native Americans. Individuals began to inhabit Colerain once more and in 1794 Colerain was established as a township.

There are several things to see and do in Colerain Township. The Clippard Family YMCA located in the Township welcomes members to enjoy the swimming pool, health and fitness classes, child care and camps of all kinds. Another attraction located in Colerain Township is the Vinoklet Winery. The dairy farm turned winery has been in operation since 1985. Individuals are encouraged to stop by the Vinoklet to taste one of their many delicious wines while watching the sunset from the winery gazebo, patio or solarium dining room. Also, individuals who enjoy spending time outdoors should visit one of the many parks located in Colerain Township.
